RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with the Town of Moraga, including mutual indemnification, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $900,000 to provide police dispatching services for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No net County cost. $900,000 revenue over four years.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff will provide police dispatching services, limited to law enforcement activity for the Town of Moraga. Services will include dispatching, call-taking, sending and receiving voice and data traffic, answering emergency (911) calls and warrant checks to aid the the town's Police Department.
