RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Resolution No. 2014/110 amending Resolution No. 81/1165, known as the Employer-Employee Relations Resolution (EERR) of Contra Costa County, to delete subsection (5) of section 34-22.004.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The County entered into a settlement agreement with SEIU Local 1021 to resolve an unfair labor practice charge. As part of the settlement, the County agreed to delete subsection (5) of section 34-22.004 of the County’s EERR in recognition of the rights of labor organizations to engage in protected activities.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The unfair labor practice charge will not be resolved pursuant to the settlement agreement.
