RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Haven Fearn), to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74–261–5 with Family Stress Center, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective February 1, 2009, to amend Contract #74–261–4 to make technical adjustments to the fee schedule, with no change in the payment limit, and no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by State Proposition 10 (First 5 Contra Costa).

BACKGROUND:

On August 12, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74–261–4 with Family Stress Center, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, for the provision of Alcohol and Drug abuse Treatment Services, including Early Intervention Mental Health services to children of pregnant and parenting women involved in the Child Welfare System. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24–261–5 will allow the County and Contractor to make technical adjustments to the fee schedule and continue providing services through June 30, 2009.
