RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand, L.C.S.W.) to execute on behalf of the County, Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-441-32 (State #08-78007-000, 01) with the State Department of Mental Health, effective July 1, 2008, to amend Standard Agreement #29-441-31, to increase the amount payable to County by $10,427 from $1,296,341 to a new total of $1,306,768, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of this Amendment Agreement will result in an increase of $10,427 from the State Department of Mental Health for the Conditional Release Program, through June 30, 2009. No County match is required.

BACKGROUND:

On September 16, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #29-441-31 with the State Department of Mental Health for the Conditional Release Program (CONREP), for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. This agreement provides monies in which the County subcontracts with community-based organizations and a number of board and care homes to provide CONREP services to judicially committed patients.
Approval of this Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-441-32 will add funds allowing the County to provide additional core services to continue the CONREP program through June 30, 2009.
