RECOMMENDATION(S):

INTRODUCE Ordinance 2009-09 amending Section 33-5.313 of the County Ordinance Code to retitle the classification of Chief Nursing Officer-Exempt to Chief Operations Officer-Exempt (VWD1) and waive reading, and fix April 28, 2009 for adoption.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no cost associated with this action.

BACKGROUND:

Health Services is requesting to revise and retitle the Chief Nursing Officer-Exempt to reflect the re-organization of the medical care management staff and redefine the role and responsibilities of the classification.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the current classification title will not reflect the re-organization or the newly defined role and responsibilities.
