RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Redevelopment Director to execute a contract with Keyser Marston Associates, Inc., effective January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009, in the amount not to exceed $13,000, to provide a market and financial evaluation of proposed development at the waterfront in Rodeo. Special Conditions are included in the contract whereby Paragraph 18 of the General Conditions, “Indemnification”, is deleted and replaced with an additional Indemnification Clause that has been approved by County Counsel.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to general fund. The Agency has budgeted funds to cover contract costs.
BACKGROUND:
The Contractor has been retained to provide a market and financial evaluation using a financial pro forma as the basis for review. The concept for the waterfront includes a variety of uses and the evaluation will indicate the overall feasibility of the separate uses and of the concept as a whole over a five year time frame.
