RECOMMENDATION(S):

Adopt resolution honoring Lauren Kovaleff, RN, Assistant EMS Director, for her years of service to Emergency Medical Services and Contra Costa County.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Lauren’s career with Contra Costa County Emergency Services has spanned 29 years. On March 31, 2009 Lauren will be retiring from her position as Assistant EMS Director, which she has held since 1987. During her career, Lauren has been instrumental in developing the paramedic and emergency medical services (EMS) system in Contra Costa County into what it is today. Her contributions have greatly benefited the patients cared for by local EMS and her knowledge, wisdom and sound judgment will be greatly missed.
