RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Breg, Inc., in the amount of $150,000, to provide orthopedic devices for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department treats numerous orthopedic patients and purchases braces and other orthopedic devices for that purpose. It is essential that Health Services Department be able to provide patients with braces to alleviate their pain and to promote recovery. As part of the product standardization process, the Department selected this novation vendor as its prime supplier.
