Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24–360–34 with Mental Health Consumer Concerns, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $291,026, to provide support services and training programs for County’s Mental Health clients, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $145,513.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing self-help and peer support programs for County’s mental health clients; operation of Community Centers in Pittsburg, Concord, and Richmond to provide social and recreational activities; and organizes and conducts County’s annual Mental Health Service Provider Individualized Recovery Intensive Training (SPIRIT).

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
