RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT the annual Redevelopment Agency budget for Fiscal Year 2009/10 in compliance with California Community Redevelopment Law

FISCAL IMPACT:

The proposed budget provides for no General Fund subvention of the Agency

BACKGROUND:

California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code Section 33606) requires that a Redevelopment Agency adopt an annual budget containing specific information. The attached budget fulfills the requirements of redevelopment law and establishes a framework for implementation of the Redevelopment Agency program for fiscal year 2009/10. The
annual budget contains the following:

• Anticipated revenues and proposed expenditures of the Agency;
• Proposed indebtedness to be incurred by the Agency;
• A work program for the coming year, including goals; and
• An examination of the previous year’s achievements.
