RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-528-2 with SPI America, LLC, effective October 1, 2009, to amend Contract #26-528-2, to increase the payment limit by $700,000, from $1,200,000 to a new payment limit of $1,900,000, and extend the term from March 31, 2010 through August 31, 2010.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

On September 23, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-528-1 with SPI America, LLC for the period from September 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010, for the provision of medical and dictation transcription services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-528-2 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services through August 31, 2010.
