RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21536 to add one (1) Clerk-Experienced Level (JWXB) (represented) position at salary plan and grade 3RH 0750 ($2,712-$3,365); and cancel one (1) Airport Environmental & Community Relations Officer (9BSB) (represented) vacant position No. 6431 at salary plan and grade ZB5 1363 ($4,166 - $5,064) in the Public Works Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be no additional cost associated with this action. There will be a cost savings of at least $27,728 annually with this action.
BACKGROUND:
As part of the organizational analysis of the Airports Division, the Public Works Department has identified areas where, through natural attrition, duties of single-class classifications can be restructured and realigned within countywide classifications. The duties previously performed by the Airport Environmental & Community Relations Officer have been redistributed, thereby allowing the department to cancel this position. The Clerical duties in the division have been performed by a temporary employee.
