RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Olympus America, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $375,000 for instruments, supplies, equipment, and instrument repairs for the Urology and Gynecology Units at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period of April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, the Department may incur expenses of up to $375,000 during the proposed agreement period, which would be funded 100% in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I budget.
BACKGROUND:
Olympus America, Inc. provides electrodes, stents, graspers, and other replacement instruments used in the urology and gynecological surgeries. The CCRMC also has an instrument maintenance agreement with this vendor so it is important that the hospital renew this purchase order.
