RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Department of Conservation and Development Director, or her designee, to execute a contract with Environmental Science Associates, ESA, effective May 13, 2009, including modification to indemnification language. The contract will be effective from May 13, 2009 to August 12, 2010 for an amount not to exceed $349,375. (Contract #C45076).

FISCAL IMPACT:

No General Fund revenues will be used. The cost is paid by the applicant.

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development is the lead agency for the environmental review of the proposed Keller Canyon Land Use Amendment. The County is requesting the professional services of ESA to provide environmental review of the proposed project. The contract with ESA has been reviewed by County Counsel.
