BACKGROUND:

The Joint Powers and Operations Committee is comprised of 2 representatives from the Danville Parks and Leisure Services Committee and two representatives and one alternate from the County Service Area R-7A Committee and one at large member that has historically been represented by East Bay Regional Park District. This committee meets to discuss and make recommendations regarding the operations and new construction projects at the Hap Magee Ranch Park a jointly owned facility. The Town of Danville is the lead agency for the park. Each of the JPOC members reviews and recommend to their respective full committees and their governing bodies as to the plans and ideas of the park committee. All final decisions on site planning and expenditures are reserved to the governing bodies of the parties; the Board of Supervisors and the Danville Town Council.
