RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPOINT Susan Bonilla as the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors representative to the governing board for the East Bay Regional Communication System Authority for the one-year term of office commencing January 1, 2009.


APPOINT John Gioia as the alternate representative to the governing board of the East Bay Regional Communication System Authority for the one year term of office commencing January 1, 2009.

RECOMMENDATION(S): (CONT'D)

ADOPT Resolution establishing these appointments.

INDICATE that this Resolution No. 2009/171 supersedes in its entirety Resolution No. 2009/27 which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on January 27, 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact from this action on the County.

BACKGROUND:

The assignments to the 2009 Board Committees, Special County Committees, and Regional Organizations, adopted by the Board on January 6, 2009 and amended on January 27, 2009, had the representative to the East Bay Regional Communication System Authority governing board as Supervisor John Gioia, and the alternate as Supervisor Susan Bonilla. Supervisors Bonilla and Gioia requested that the assignments be reversed so that Supervisor Bonilla would be the board member.
