RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Request No. 20682 to cancel one Lieutenant (6XHA) (represented) position # 2908, and add one Captain (6XDA) (represented) position #--------- in the Field Operations Bureau – Patrol Division - Town of Danville.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Town of Danville.

BACKGROUND:

Currently, the Town of Danville, who contracts with the Office of the Sheriff for law enforcement services, has two Lieutenant positions assigned to their contract. One lieutenant acts as the Police Manager (Police Chief). The Town of Danville has requested that the Police Manager - Lieutenant - position be upgraded to a Captain position. The Captain will provide executive administrative oversight and direction to subordinate staff.
