Recommendation(s):

APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No. 5076 to authorize new revenue in the amount of $312,394 from the Cal-ID Trust Fund (0270) to purchase equipment and software for the Office of the Sheriffs Central Identification Unit.

Fiscal Impact:

This action increases revenue and appropriations by $312,394. There is no additional net County cost.

Background:

The Office of the Sheriff Forensic Services Division has been authorized by the Regional Access Network Board to utilize Cal-ID funds in the amount of $312,394. The expenditure amount is for two specific purchases from Cogent Systems, Inc. The first purchase is for three (3) Livescan booking machines in the amount of $150,019 for use at the Sheriffs Field Operations Bureau, Juvenile Hall and Probation. The second purchase is in the amount of $162,375 for eleven (11) latent work station applications for use in the Sheriff's Central Identification Unit.
