RECOMMENDATION(S):

RE-APPOINT Edi Birsan to the Private / Non-Profit Sector Seat No. 2 on the Contra Costa County Economic Opportunity Council with term end date of June 30, 2019 as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

Mr. Birsan was appointed to this seat on May 5, 2015. The EOC affirmed recommendation of this re-appointment by majority vote at its meeting on May 14, 2015. This re-appointment ensures continuity for the EOC and aligns with the revised Bylaws that allow 4 year terms. Mr. Birsan's address is 950 Alla Ave., Concord, CA 94518.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If not approved, the Economic Opportunity Council will be unable to conduct routine business.
