RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the local funding priorities for Contra Costa County as reviewed and approved by the Local Planning Council on May 18, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact to the County. Potential future impact to child care programs should future funding become available.

BACKGROUND:

The Board of Supervisors referred updates on the County's Child Care Priorities on October 1, 2006.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

On June 8, 2015 staff from the County Office of Education presented an updated to the Child Care Plan priorities. These priorities were reviewed and discussed at a public hearing held on May 18, 2015 and approved by the Local Planning Council on May 18, 2015.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will not update the County's child care priorities.
