Christopher Learned, who held the County, School Districts and Community College District seat on the Treasury Oversight Committee for six years, announced his retirement and resignation from the Committee effective June 30, 2015. Nominees to the County, School Districts and Community College District seat are selected by a majority of the presiding officers of the governing bodies of the school districts and the community college district in the County. The new nomination will be brought to the Board's Internal Operations Committee for review and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.
Failure to declare the vacancy before making a new appointment will cause the County to be out of compliance with State law.
