RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with FamiliesFirst, Inc., dba EMQ Families First, in an amount not to exceed $168,751, to provide Child Welfare Redesign Differential Response Program for the period October 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.

BACKGROUND:
The Contractor was selected as a result of the competitive bid process, Request for Proposal No. 1139. The Employment and Human Services Department, Children and Family Services (CFS) Bureau is implementing Child Welfare (CWS) Redesign to enhance current service delivery and improve outcomes for children and families. The redesign plan includes providing early intervention services, developing community partnerships, and increasing the number of resource families. The Department issued a Request for Proposals #1139 in order to solicit organizations interested in providing case management services to families at-risk of becoming involved with the Child Welfare System.
