RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20983 to add one (1) Licensed Vocation Nurse position (VT7G - represented) at salary level QBX 1287 ($3811.20 -$4867.06) and five (5) Registered Nurse - Advanced Level positions (VWXE - represented) at salary level L32 1878 ($8435.78 - $8646.78) in the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $912,342, including pension costs of $201,296, and will be fully funded with Federal Hi-Tech Revenue (ARRA).

BACKGROUND:

These positions are needed to backfill behind staff who have been assigned as core team members of the Epic Electronic Medical Records Implementation Project.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, implementation of the epic project could be negatively impacted which could result in lost revenue for the Department.
