RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT resignation of Amanda Pruitt, DECLARE a vacancy in the District 1-C seat of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Supervisor Gioia.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.  

BACKGROUND:

The mission of the Contra Costa County Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board is to assess family and community needs regarding treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse problems. We report our findings and recommendations to the Contra Costa Health Services Department, the Board of Supervisors and the communities we serve.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board works in collaboration with the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Division of Contra Costa Health Services. We provide input and recommendations as they pertain to alcohol and other drugs prevention, intervention, and treatment services  
  
Amanda Pruitt has informed Fatima Sol, staff for the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board, that she can no longer serve due to scheduling problems.   
  
  

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The District I-C Seat would continue to be vacant.

None.
