RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute Contract Amendment #1 with C&J Favalora Trucking Inc., to extend the contract completion date from May 12, 2021, to May 12, 2022, with no change to the contract payment limit, for the On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling and Transportation, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This on-call contract was funded 100% by local road funds. This action is only to extend the contract and not to increase the payment limit. (No fiscal impact)
BACKGROUND:
On May 12, 2020, the County awarded one on-call contract to C&J Favalora Trucking Inc., for trucking services to transport chip seal aggregate from the quarry to various stockpile locations and roads throughout the County, for a not-to-exceed amount of $900,000. This contract is to supplement the Public Works Maintenance crews during routine pavement surface treatment activities, and to perform work that may be time-sensitive and may require specialized equipment and skills. The contract has a term of one year, with the option of two one-year extensions.
